Department of Parks, Recreation, and Community Facilities Announces Inclement Weather Closings





Due to the inclement weather, the Department of Parks, Recreation, and Community Facilities will be closing all facilities on Wednesday January 29, 2014 at 6 p.m.  All centers will be operating on a normal schedule on Thursday January 30, 2014.

Department of Parks and Recreation Announces Closings Due to Inclement Weather



Due to the expected inclement weather, the Department of Parks, Recreation, and Community Facilities will be closing all facilities on Tuesday January 21, 2014 at 7 p.m.  Recreation centers will be open on Wednesday January 22, 2014 from noon until 5 p.m.

City Offices Closed January 20 in Observance of
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s Birthday

Richmond, VA – In observance of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s birthday, city government offices, including City Hall, will be closed on Monday, January 20, 2014. City offices will reopen at regular business hours on Tuesday, January 21.

Monday’s closing includes all branches of the Richmond Public Libraries and all city community centers, both of which will reopen on Tuesday.

Refuse collection will not be performed on Monday as the city’s Solid Waste Management Division will also be closed. This closure will result in a one day delay of refuse collection for the remainder of the week, as the collection schedule will begin on Tuesday and continue through Friday.

The East Richmond Road Convenience Center and Hopkins Road Transfer Stations are also closed on Monday, January 20. Each facility will resume its normal schedule on Tuesday.

Introducing WebTrac Online Registration System


WebTrac is the online registration system now utilized by the Department of Parks, Recreation, and Community Facilities (PRCF).  From the comfort of their own home, PRCF patrons can register for any of our classes, submit a request for a facility rental, or find out information about the latest Active Adult trips.
